Rokycany

The town originated during the 10th century at the land trade path leading from Prague to Bavaria. In the centre of Rokycany the visitors may admire, apart from the temple of the Virgin Mary Sněžná, also the town hall and the museum of Dr. B. Horák with unique paleontological collections. The chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary at the near Vršíček is a renowned pilgrimage place.
