West-Bohemian Museum Plzeň

The museum originated in 1878 and collects collections from the fields of paleontology, archaeology, numismatics, history, militaria, glass, porcelain and other applied art. Attractive is also the modern exposition of the Plzeň municipal armoury that originated under the rule of Charles IVth and contains, e.g., the oldest European set of fire arms of the end of the 14th and beginning of the 15th centuries.
