Schwarzenberg Navigation Channel
The author of the master water work of the end of the 18th century was the Schwarzenberg forest engineer Josef Rosenauer. The channel was intended for flowing timber from the forests of Šumava to Vienna and the use of its last part stopped in 1962. The torso of the largest technical monument of Šumava has been preserved in the countryside till today, almost along all preserved sections marked cycling routes lead.
