A romantic castle in Pošumaví founded at the beginning of the 14th century by Bušek of Velhartice belongs among the works of Czech castle architecture with unique layout. The dominant are the ruins of the old Gothic palace and the tower called Putna that was of protective and residential character. Both parts are connected by bulky stone bridge with broken arches.
