Castle and Chateau in Jindřichův Hradec
The Romanesque-Gothic castle was re-built in the 16th century into an imposing Renaissance chateau. The present-day complex of buildings with a garden and Renaissance roundel belongs among the most extensive chateau areas of the Czech Republic and, especially the third courtyard represents a perfect mosaic of the most varied building movements and styles. Leading through the castle and the chateau are three sightseeing routes.
