Svatá Hora at Příbram

The oldest and most significant Marian pilgrimage place of the Czech Republic. The statue of the Virgin Mary of Svatá Hora with the Infant Jesus in a wonderful silver altar is said to have been cut in the middle of the 14th century by the first Czech archbishop himself, Arnošt of Pardubice. The sightseeing round includes, e.g. the temple of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, chapels, cloisters, the Way of the Cross, small well, stalactite chapel of St. Máří Magdaléna and the Stairs of Svatá Hora.
