Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Stará Boleslav

In Stará Boleslav prince Wenceslas was murdered who after his sanctification became the main patron of the Czech nation. The significant pilgrimage place commemorates that event every year at the end of September on the days of St. Wenceslas celebrations. In the early Baroque pilgrimage temple deposited is the golden Marian relief, palladium – the symbol of protection and guarding – of the Czech land.
