The dominant of the Gothic castle that had Charles IVth built in the middle of the 14th century, is the Large Tower with the chapel of St. Cross the walls and ceiling of which are inlaid with semi-precious stones and decorated by the collection of 129 mediaeval panel pictures of Master Theodorik. The sightseeing rounds include the hall of the ancestors with the portrait gallery of the Czech monarchs, the chapel of St. Kateřina with wall decorations of the 14th century and other premises.
