Staronová synagoga (The Old-New Synagogue)

The oldest monument of the Prague Jewish ghetto and, at the same time, the oldest preserved synagogue in Europe, is the main synagogue of the Prague Jewish community and active as rabbis in it were the most significant personalities of the community. The best-known of them was rabbi Löw – Jehuda Liwa ben Becalel connected with whom is the legend about the mysterious Golem and who rests at the nearby Old Jewish Cemetery.
